eMERG, the Engineering Manufacturer Entrepreneurs Resource Group, is the brainchild of a group of enterprising business women. eMERG was founded in an era when women engineers in India were still foraying in small numbers – into entrepreneurship. With hardly any eco system and support available, an exclusive professional networking space for women in engineering manufacturing was unheard of. Yet, the need to associate with others in the space, share the challenges, experiences and hard earned wisdom – led Seven enterprising women engineers to found eMERG in 2006, in Bangalore, India.
Over the years, eMERG has grown exponentially, and now is an association for women in technology, business, profession & services. As a Not for Profit organization, eMERG works to provide women a platform to showcase and develop their business and talents. eMERG regularly conducts training programs for the members, which provides them opportunities to learn about the current policies, funding facilities as well as training potentials available from the government and the non-government sectors. eMERG organizes trade delegations nationally as well as internationally which provides excellent exposure opportunities.

A decade of walking with entrepreneurial women!
An interesting journey – from visioning an association at the growth level for women in technology, in 2006 to having a vibrant group of women in technology, business and services in 2016. It is this dream that the 7 founding members envisioned to support the growth of women in technology, business, profession and services. There was a felt need for a platform to support at the growth level of women owned enterprises, especially in the area of technology. So, along with a team of like minded members, eMERG has provided an opportunity for entrepreneurial women, to network, both national and international, for business growth.
Women entrepreneurs are the new engines of growth to an economy and women owned businesses form an integral component of MSMEs. eMERG has been carrying out various activities to achieve its objective and contribute to the growth of women owned enterprises and their participation & contribution to national economy. It was a pleasure being President of eMERG for ten years ! A journey of learning, sharing , mentoring , and working with aspiring and experienced women entrepreneurs.
We have seen great times with our members, and now during these trying times, we are doing our best to keep our members connected and engaged

We are happy to share that a new team of enthusiastic office bearers and executive committee members have taken over this year, after the Annual General Body Meeting that was held on 16th July 2021.
eMERG – Engineering Manufacturer Entrepreneurs Resource Group was set up in 2006 as a not for profit association, and is a network of women in Technology, Profession, Business & Services which has continuously endeavoured to contribute to the society, by playing a vital role in the economic growth of the country. Our key strength and expertise lies in identifying the problems faced by the MSME’s and to find solutions for the progress of this sector, with a special focus on women.
Over the years, eMERG has grown to the current stature.We currently have a Centre of Excellence that has been running a variety of training programs. These have helped to re-skill as well as up-skill many women entrepreneurs. We have applied to the Government of Karnataka to be empanelled as a training provider. We look forward to the days after the covid restrictions are lifted, to begin the physical formats of trainings.
Respecting the government rules during lockdown, we continued to help our women entrepreneurs to continue with their business. We provided ample opportunities for them to connect online and conduct business and sales. Besides this, we have conducted several programs that have provided knowledge and insights into various aspects of business, healthcare and information.
Our mentoring program has been well received. We hand-hold youngsters and those at the threshold of their career, to ensure they make the right moves to take them forward towards achieving their goals.
We are constantly striving to provide “value-adds” to our diaspora of members- be they entrepreneurs, professionals or service providers. Our strength lies in our numbers.Thank you, to each of you for your unstinting support in the past and looking forward to plenty of interaction in the days ahead.
